"Voices
Galore" is a title Curt Gebhart certainly lives
up to. His 3-octave range
is a constant asset to numerous "Anime" series. "Dragon
Kings" and "Pat Labor" are but two
of these. In the commercial world, he
is the voice of Duchess Recreational Vehicles. And this
wise guy style is
in marked contrast to the straight-laced corporate narration
he has also
professionally performed.
As if this diversity isn't enough,
Curt can also switch registers at
the snap of the fingers. This uncanny ability is
a great time and money
saver. At one recording session, he was called
upon to do the voices of
a senile pilot, a flock of children, an army doing
calinsthenics, and a
cooing baby. The voice directors shook their heads
in amazement as he
pulled it off.
Curt's talents stretch far beyond the world of
voice-overs. He's a
singer-songwriter, has appeared on camera, and
works in early childhood
education. His roster of over 30 songs, fittingly,
includes material
perfect for animation. And of course for songs
like "At the Zoo" and"
Pirate Sam", all the character voices are sung by this same diverse
voice actor.
